McCain's ads are getting more and more desperate. It's actually getting funny in a pathetic sort of way.

Nahhh... I think it's kind of fun. Shows you how Obama sort of sees himself, which is, I guess, like Rufus.. Chris Rock's character in Dogma. Throw in a soundtrack tune by Ludacris and it's all good.

Maybe Criss Angel will teach Obama to walk on Water.

But Rufus was quite humble as far as the disciples go. He was sadly martyred, and then written out of the bible. But he kept his positive attitude and faith all the same.

I think out of all the disciples, Rufus is the one I'd most like to have a beer with.

Nothing desperate there at all. They are brilliant, political satire is a powerful tool.

Right now McCain is laying some 500 pounders on Obama's, making Obama look like the pompous *ss he is. It's a play right out of the liberal play book.

Meanwhile Obama borrows rhetoric from his church and continues to run against Bush. Sounds like a winning plan to me!

One question I have, is when will Obama stop making rookie mistakes?

The ad was good till about half way, maybe three quarters the way through. Then it got a bit awkward and dumb.

I think the first ad made the point better that this one term senator is not ready to lead and has no real answers.

CT Bob. You don't make much of an argument. What is so desperate about this ad? McCain is far from an ideal candidate but next to Dukakis Jr., he looks pretty darn good.

I'm with you on the beer with Rufus, Bob. On the other hand, you did highlight the big difference between Obama and Rufus... Obama is nowhere near as humble. And that's what the McCain ad hits home on.

McCommas, you are dead on: I would have preferred a different candidate than McCain, but this is what we got. But there is no comparison when it comes to Obama.. he's long on talk and short on everything else.

I'm all for smart political satire; but when even Paris Hilton says she's upset with McCain for using her in his ad, it looks kind of sad and pathetically ill-conceived.

I'll take Obama's supposed lack of humility over the current sneering, disdainful administration any day. At least we'll get someone who's actually READ the Constitution sitting in the Oval Office. Unlike you guys, I happen to believe in that hallowed document.
